Africa's rising cities

Studies project that by the end of this century thirteen of the world’s 20 biggest urban areas will be in Africa — up from just two today. In this multi-part series, we dove deep into five of them to understand the forces that will shape Africa’s urban growth. We used a mix of interactive graphics, reporting on the ground and local. photography to explain this overlooked subject. Tools used: d3.js, Illustrator, Python (pandas), Blender, QGIS, Tabula.
