Brazil's oxygen crisis
After a new coronavirus variant crushed an Amazonian city, hospitals got full and oxygen consumption skyrocketed, creating a logistical nightmare for local authorities. In my first solo-byline piece at The Post I visualized and reported on the oxygen shortage in remote Brazil during that coronavirus wave. The graphics show the gap between demand and supply and the arduous path for oxygen to reach the sick in one of country's most remote regions. Tools used: Illustrator, QGIS.
